Just south of town lies the Sunnyside Cemetery. Owned by the City of Victor, the historic cemetery is the final resting place of several of Victor's Gold Rush Days pioneers. The earliest found marker dates 1891. Turn-of-the-nineteenth-century pioneers and their children, hard-rock miners, veterans and soldiers from five different wars, as well as, many other individuals are at final rest on this beautiful knoll. Stone carvings, intricate ironwork, and weathered wooden cribs pay tribute to the unique character of those who lived their lives in Victor.Walking tours of the cemetery are offered during the summer months.
