Richard Marold as Nikola Tesla
10:30 a.m. at the Stratton Outdoor Amphitheater.
Nikola Tesla, a brilliant scientist, came to Colorado Springs in 1899 to conduct some of his research in the development of uses of electricity, including wireless technology. Our high, dry climate was perfect for his experiments. Richard Marold, a Tesla scholar, will portray this eccentric man and bring alive Tesla’s theories and visions for today’s technological world. Marold is well-known for his portrayals of Franklin Delano Roosevelt and Winfield Scott Stratton.

The Stratton Outdoor Amphitheater at the Historic Independence Mill Site is outdoor seating for about 60 in a rustic setting. The large water tank is open to the sky above and is surrounded by concrete walls about 7-8 feet tall. The baffles have been excavated and filled to create concrete seating with a small stage area and area for concessions.
The STCFG provides power connections.
The amphitheater is about one block up the Golden Circle Trail off Teller County Road 81 just outside Victor. Parking is at the Victor Helipad.
Events to be held at the site have insurance requirements and all events must be approved by the STCFG prior to the event date.
Please contact Ruth Zalewski at stcfg@victorcolorado.com for information and to reserve the site.
